Sarah believes everyone can enjoy good health of body, mind, and spirit. In her acupuncture practice
she focuses on treatment of the whole person to bring about lasting healing. Sarah educates patients on changes they can make
in their own lives to improve and sustain their health. In these ways she helps them achieve their health goals and restore
balance in their bodies and their lives.
Professional Background
Before attending acupuncture school Sarah received her BS in physiology from Michigan State University.
She decided to continue her education in Portland, OR where she attended the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. There Sarah
took courses in Chinese medical theory, western pathology, acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, shiatsu massage, taichi,
and qigong. She graduated in 2004, receiving her MS in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM). She has continued her education
by studying Richard Tan acupuncture and Mei Zen cosmetic acupuncture. Sarah is a member of the Acupuncture Society of
Virginia and the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
