The proper functioning of the lymphatic system is critical to
our body's ability to operate at peak performance. The lymphatic system filters out toxins and foreign substances, drains
fluids, regenerates tissue and helps us maintain a healthy immune system. If lymph circulation stagnates, toxins accumulate
and compromise cellular functioning, causing physical ailments. Lymphatic massage techniques include gentle, wave-like movements
performed with the therapist’s hands and fingers. Lymphatic massage can: • reduce edema (swelling) (often used post-surgically) • detoxify the body • relieve numerous chronic inflammations, including
sinusitis and bronchitis •
regenerate tissue, including burns, wounds, stretch marks and wrinkles •
induce anti-aging effects •
reduce adipose and cellulite tissue •
stimulate the immune and parasympathetic nervous systems •
alleviate symptoms of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia •
aid in deep relaxation to reduce insomnia, stress, loss of vitality and memory
