WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT FROM YOUR PHYSICAL
THERAPIST? Physical therapists are essentially “body mechanics.” They
provide treatments to individuals to develop, maintain, and restore maximum movement and function throughout life stages.
Following an evaluation, your physical therapist will use that information in addition to your past medical history,
to generate a diagnosis, and establish a plan of care to meet your goals. The primary goal of physical therapy is always to
maximize the quality of life for the individual. Areas of health promotion, prevention, treatment, and
rehabilitation will all be discussed.
